This is an excellent piece of equipment. I bought this compressor in January 2009 to use with a Milwaukee brad nailer (installing crown moulding in my home). Highly recommended.Gold Box Deal price on 5/7/09 was $99.99, sold out quickly.
If your gonna eat pancakes there is going to be some oil. So I tried to send it back and they wouldn't take it back. I bought this since my wife loves pancakes but hates the oil. It took me a while to find where to put the batter and when I plugged it in it made some kind os sick gargaling sound and no pancakes came out. They said that I ruined it.The moral of the story is if it is too good to be true then it probably is.
i wouldnt recommend it for anything that requires constant air like and air chissel of impact gun, but for a one man general contractor. \ i replaced my old 4 gallon emglo for this hitachi hopeing it would keep up with all my air needs and i was plesantly surprised. or handy man its a good solid choice.
Its too bad since I own some other Hitachi tools and they have been great. Also the face of one of the guages was bent and broken and the safety air bleed valve was broken off so I needed a pliers to bleed of the air. Then I noticed the entire control unit including guages and tubing were shaking and that whole unit was loose. Needless to say I am sending the unit back for a refund. The unit arrived yesterday. When I unpacked it I plugged it in and it started up normally. The shipping box was undamaged so I'm sure it was shipped from the factory in this condition.
excellent value for quality name and features; appears well made compressor; easy to use; no oil to mess with or maintain for motor; small enough for portability but not lightweight; powerful enough to operate my air tools adequately.
